Sally Hansen magical Nail Makeup: Purple Potion
I have been thouroughly enjoying all the sun we have had here in Southern California because it has made me want to get out my holo's! I am not enjoying the actual heat, but the sun is awesome for holo polish!!
This is one of the 1st holo polishes I can remember owning. I have always loved purples and this was so amazing when I first got it. I remember being amazed and in awe that you could have such an effect in a polish. When I used to think about "holographic", this is not what I imagined...I imagined see through images of people talking or animations a'la Star Wars!!
This is 2 coats with my regular base and top coats. There was absolutely no drag on these as some holo polishes can. The formula on this was thin...but maybe because it's about 8-10 years old and older formula...pre-B3F.
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!

Golden Rose Holographic Color #119
Happy MLK Day! Hope everyone is enjoying their Monday. I know I am as it is around 75 degrees today! I don't usually like the heat this high in the winter but the bright sunshine got me motivated to get outside and move a little!
This is polish by Golden Rose. These are the cutest little bottles! Only 6mls!! Golden Rose has 2 holo collections. These tiny bottles and one in a regular 15ml bottle...I don't recall the name of the collection for the larger bottles though. The name of this collection is Holographic Color...how original!
This is 2 coats. A very nicely pigmented dark charcoal base with tons of scattered holo pigment. This is not a glitter and it is completely smooth. I bought these from the Golden Rose website several months ago for a very reasonable price. Hopefully I can squeeze in a few more mani's from this line soon as I have about 6 colors.
Hope you all have a great short week!!

Sally Hansen magical Nail Makeup: Ruby Slipper
Happy Sunday everyone!
Ok, what is the problem here?!?! It is the middle of winter and I have sun and 80 degree temps!! Don't get me wrong, I love the sun shining on a winter day but I dont like summer temps in the winter time. The only upside I see to this is I can bring out the holographic polishes and let them bling!!
This is an older Sally Hansen "magical" polish! Ruby Slipper is not what I expect when I see the name. I was hoping for a vibrant, true red holo but it is more of a soft red or deep pink. Still very pretty though. I think I have most of the colors that were released in this line so I am going to try to swatch them all before the sun goes away this week!
This is 2 coats. The formula on this was a bit weird. Kind of gloopy but still thin and easy to apply.
Looking forward to 1 extra day off tomorrow!

China Glaze LOL
Monday....is. almost. over. nm.
China Glaze LOL, 2 coats. I wore this to make my Monday more kick ass but unfortunately...there was no blinding sun to make it rock. The above photo was taken under a daylight lamp so the holo is miniscule. The base color for LOL is gorgeous though! Vibrant yet slightly dusky, jewel toned purple. I can only hope the new Tronica collection will be half as great as the OMG's were!
Tuesday, here I come!

Milani Red Dazzle and updated blog sale!
Happy Friday everyone!!
First off, for anyone interested, I have added a few things to my ongoing blog sale. I will also be adding things throughout the weekend when I get time.
On to the polish!
This is Milani Red Dazzle from the newer One Coat glitter collection.
Ok, I really love these glitters. They really can be opaque in 1 coat if applied carefully but usually need 2 coats to look amazing. Here comes the "but"....But, I hated this color on me!! For some reason it made my hands look dirty. It actually looks decent in the picture but IRL, I did not like it. The application and wear on this was good. The depth of the glitter was amazing. It just made me look dirty and I couldn't get over it!
Cheers to the weekend!! Have a safe one!

Chanel Metallic Vamp
Oh, purple Chanel...how I love thee! What's not to love? Chanel and purple!! I am not sure when Metallic Vamp came out but, I was very fortunate to get it from a generous friend for a small fee :o)
I only have a handful of Chanels, but I really like them . This one is probably in my top 3 of the lot. My only complaint is that it chipped the next day =/ This is the case for the other Chanel's I have worn as well. Aside from the chippiness, the application was great.
Hope everyone is planning on having a great weekend...I know I am!!

New post for the New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone! With all the holiday craziness I have really neglected my blog these past few weeks. Now that the holidays are over I am hoping to get back to a regular schedule again!
I am sporting some new shorties again. I kept filing everytime I changed my mani and this is where I have stopped. I have noticed that with my new involvement with roller derby, this length is perfect. I may let them grow out just a touch in the new week but we'll see.
On to my Yesterday's Nail!
This is an older Calvin Klein from maybe 2 years ago? It's called Emerald Green...ingenious!! Jokes aside, this is a gorgeous polish. IRL it is a touch darker than this photo shows. It also has amazing shimmer in it that you can see pretty well in the photo. In the sun, it is WHOA!!! It has little blue shimmers in it as well! Application was very nice on this but it was a bit thin. This is 3 coats. I really wish CK continued making polishes because this one rocks!!
