Precision My Little Peony

TGIF indeed! Had a long week and hopefully will have an even longer weekend!!

This is Precision My Little Peony. First off, I love the name! I mean, what female did not LOVE My Little Pony when they were growing up?!?! Secondly, this color is hot! It is almost a neon but not quite. Very wearable if you are neon shy but want to try one. The formula on this was pretty amazing. The consistency was perfect for me and applied "precision" (har dee har har!!!). I am actually still wearing this many and I applied it on Wednesday. Not a chip or dent in sight and my tip wear is minimal. I found these in a nice little beauty supply store that has practically the whole colloection. I have never seen this carried anywhere else though. This is my 1st time using a Precision and now I'm hooked!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Christian Dior Steel Grey

Here's an oldie...not sure how old though. I found this in a small cosmetics store in Little Tokyo. They had tons of boring pinks, nudes, cremes and reds. All super old, dusty CD bottles. This one was the only "different" color. It's a beautiful metallic/frosty grey with a touch of gold shimmer in it. The color is dark and moody and doesn't look silver as the gold shimmer gives just enough of a kick. This polish was very thin but had surprisingly good coverage in 2 coats but not good enough to cover the ugly ridge on my ring finger (this is 3 coats)even with a ridge filler. Other than that, a very nice polish overall! I have not bought any CD polishes other than this (and a few other in the same bottle style I got with this one) so I really can't compare this to a current CD release as far as the formula goes.
Hope you are all having a great start to your week!

Zoya Mimi

Ok, cut to the chase...this is my #1 purple!! If you don't have this one and you love purple then I suggest you get it asap!! This did require 3 coats but as you can see, it is beautiful! Zoya really did this collection right. It looks almost metallic with little glitter flakes. Definitely a distracting (in a good way) polish. I know Charla has been getting all the hype...but Mimi is a real knockout too! This is absolutely not color accurate though. No matter what i did, I could not get the color right. It is more vibrant and less blue IRL. I would love to see Zoya do a whole collection in this finish...white, creme, black, gold, taupe, navy...the possibilities would be endless!! And, you know they would all sell!! Just my unpaid and unbiased opinion.

H&M Creme de la Creme

Happy Sunday night! Too bad I have to work in the morning. I don't even know why I'm not in bed yet!! *sigh*

This is H&M Creme de la Creme. I got this from a very lovely friend in Sweden as an extra. If you don't know already, I love holos and this one is no exception. The photo does not show the holo very well if not at all but I promise, it is really stunning IRL. This photo was taken in warm, end of the day sun so it is very muted. These H&M polishes are very nice and easy towork with. 2 coats and it dried very fast. I can't wait to try the few others I have...and get my hands on some more too!

Hope you all have a great week!!

AA Peacock + Claire's Glam

I love this combo!! I was looking for something glittery and sparkly to wear for a night out on the town and this is what I came up with. 1 coat of AA Peacock with 1 coat of Claire's Glam. The result was a gorgeous teal bling smack! Both polishes applied very well and since they are only 1 coat each, this manicure dried fast and I was out the door!
The AA polishes are all creams and so far they all apply very nicely.
The Claire's glitter is a medium density tiny glitter. The base is tinted the same color but way too sheer to be considered a jelly IMO.

This manicure made my Monday!!

China Glaze Cherry Pie

I can't beleive I've had this since last year and haven't worn it! I think I have the whole China Glaze summer collection from last year...in my untrieds! Even Grape Juice and Watermelon Rind!!! And I love purples and greens!!
This is 3 coats of Cherry Pie. There is definitely VNL still but I think these were meant to be worn like this? This is like a jelly with glass flecks in it. I wish I could capture the 100% true color of this but it did not want to cooperate when I was taking photos. It has a coral cast to it and the glass flecks have a slight hot pink sheen to them. Beautiful hot weather color IMO!!
Thanks for reading!!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone has a nice day. I have spent the past 2 nights baking macarons for the kids and thought it was time to change my mani!

Maybelline Wet Shine Banana Puddin'

I've had this for a few months but I believe this is quite a few years old. The formula is kind of crap and needed 4 coats to be opaque but I love the color! Most yellows I have tried are streaky and hard to get even with anything less than 3 coats.

My Calla Lillies are in bloom! Just in time to pick a few for a dinner centerpiece!

Hope you all have a Happy Easter and don't over do it on the chocolate and Peeps!!

ORLY Luxe

Happy Saturday! I am still sitting in my pajamas and trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast...it's almost 1pm mind you!!

This is 2 coats of ORLY Luxe. I really loved the look of this. My only wish is that it was a tad bit more gold. The other 2 from this mini collection all looked sort of similar...just a slight tint difference. Aside from that, it applied very nicely and dried super fast!

Scented Revlons!!!

Hey ya'll! I know these are not old but rather, just released BUT I could not pass them up and had to use them right away!

This is Orange Pop. It smells like orange soda to me but the SO said it smelled like a Starburst candy dipped in alcohol! What does he know anyways?!?! I don't usually go for oranges but the possibility of having orange scented nails is what got me. Good thing I actually liked to color. It's more of a coral orange than a true orange so it went with my skin tone pretty well. It looks like a hardcore frost in the bottle but applied smoothly with very minimal brush strokes. This is 3 coats.

This sweet thing is Gumdrop. It is a very pale, blue toned lavender. I am all about the pastels right now...they remind me of spring and Easter. I really love this color BUT...it was streaky and thin. This is 4 coats and it probably could have used a 5th! The scent on this is a very nice vanilla/sweet smell.
If you are wondering...both of these have a coat of Seche Vite and the scent still comes through the topcoat.
These really give new meaning to the phrase "smell my finger"!
